Congratulations to Ella Garcia of John Paul II High School, our Student Athlete of the Week. Ella is a senior with an outstanding 4.7 GPA and is ranked number one in her class. She serves as president of T.O.K.C., student council president, is involved with Smiles for Miles, the Mitril Defense Team, and the Junior Catholic Daughters of America. She is also a multi-sport standout, competing in volleyball, cross country, and basketball for the Centurions.

Ella is set to reach an impressive milestone before graduating in 2026. Through dual credit courses at Del Mar College, she will earn her associate's degree in criminal justice next month. She plans to major in sociology in college and hopes to become a family law attorney.

Athletically and academically, Ella continues to shine. She was recently named First Team Academic All-State in both volleyball and cross country. She has received multiple offers to continue her athletic career at the college level and expects to make her decision in the spring.
